For our BPS Operations Controlling department within Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH, we are currently looking for a Business Controller for Procurement (x|f|m) in full-time at our headquarters in Goettingen with the opportunity to work some days remotely. The owner of this role will act as a strategic partner driving financial performance and cost optimization. The Business Controller for Procurement (x|f|m) will drive procurement activities, provide actionable insights, and help achieve savings targets through robust analysis, risk management, and collaboration with key stakeholders, thereby shaping the future with us.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
Track and report procurement KPIs to ensure financial targets are met
Prepare and present financial reports, covering spend analysis, variance reports and cash management
Together with Category Management, turn KPI analysis in actionable items to enhance financial efficiency
Deploy tools and reporting locally based on Group Controlling requests
Support Procurement roadmap for financial valuation
Validate savings accuracy with teams and challenge assumptions, being an active part of Procurement acceleration 2.0
Be the first-level support for category management on product costing, bridging with costing expert if necessary
Support supplier negotiations on financial scenario
Highlight, collect and value financial risks for documented risk management report
What will convince us
A successfully completed Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling or related field
Several years of experience in Controlling or Finance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost controlling
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and advanced Excel skills
Proficiency in financial reporting, KPI tracking and AI | Data Analytics usage for trends & benchmarks setting and anomaly reporting
Understanding of procurement processes, supplier negotiations and make-or-buy analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management, eye-leveling on all hierarchy levels
Fluent in English and German with willingness to travel (up to 25%)
