Business Control Analyst

Seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Operational Excellence team’s business control function. This role will contribute to the identification, assessment, and mitigation of business risks across FanDuel's operational teams. The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise risk function, and internal audit to ensure effective control design and implementation with a focus on business resiliency.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

 

THE GAME PLAN

General Overview:

· Take ownership of documenting business controls, conducting process walkthroughs, and analyzing control effectiveness

· Proactively identify risks and issues, implement mitigating strategies and controls to reduce future likelihood and impact

· Assist the team in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, as well as developing and implementing solutions

· Design controls that effectively mitigate identified risks through process walkthroughs, building process maps and stakeholder collaboration

· Develop project plans and timelines related to risk mitigation initiatives

· Deliver high quality insights using quantitative and qualitative analysis to make recommendations that balance customer and business impact

· Advocate for change by establishing strong stakeholder relationships

· Document and communicate key insights or recommendations to wide audiences, from peers to senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

· Expected completion of degree or program by June 2025

· Must have U.S. Work Authorization and does not require employer sponsorship

· Must be in commutable distance from or willing to relocate to designated office

· Well-organized and meticulous attention to detail

· Solution-oriented, adaptable and efficient learner

· Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with a diverse array of partners and stakeholders across multiple functions

· Proficiency in process mapping, detailed documentation, project planning, and data analysis

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Interest in eCommerce and/or iGaming industries preferred

· Understanding of risk management frameworks

· Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Miro, LucidChart, AuditBoard

· Risk assessment experience a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $79,000 - $99,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
