Join Maxis as a Business Continuity Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting organisational resilience, risk management, and crisis preparedness initiatives. This role offers exposure to real-world business continuity frameworks, assessments, and coordination activities, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure business operations remain resilient in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Impact Analysis (BIA) & Risk Assessment (RA)
Assist in coordinating and managing Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment (RA) exercises.
Support data collection, documentation, and consolidation of assessment outputs.
Ensure findings are accurately captured and aligned with business requirements.
2. Crisis Communication Support
Support the development and maintenance of crisis communication plans and materials.
Assist in coordinating communications during simulations or incidents.
Track action items and follow-ups related to crisis preparedness activities.
3. Testing of Controls (TOC) Assessment
Assist with Testing of Controls (TOC) assessments to ensure compliance and effectiveness of continuity controls.
Support documentation, evidence gathering, and reporting of assessment outcomes.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain reports, trackers, and presentations related to business continuity initiatives.
Ensure documentation is organised, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
5. Meeting Coordination & Operational Support
Coordinate meetings with stakeholders, including scheduling and preparation of materials.
Record minutes of meeting, track action items, and follow up with relevant parties.
Provide general operational support to the Business Continuity team as needed.
Value-Added Project
The intern will have the opportunity to support end-to-end business continuity initiatives, including BIA, RA, crisis communication planning, and TOC assessments. This project exposure provides practical insight into organisational resilience, risk mitigation, and continuity planning within a large enterprise environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Management, or a related field.
Strong business communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to manage meetings, prepare minutes of meeting, and follow up on action items.
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
