Your role
The ideal candidate is passionate about harnessing AI technologies to optimize processes, improve data-driven strategies, and drive innovation across all business teams. As a Business Consultant you will play a key role in identifying opportunities for AI integration, collaborating with stakeholders to implement AI solutions, and ensuring that these initiatives align with ING’s strategic objectives for Business Banking Netherlands. AI will be a priority, but you may also work on other types of projects.
Your responsibilities
- Identify and assess opportunities for AI integration across Business Banking NL, ensuring they directly support ING’s strategic objectives and strengthen our digital and data‑driven foundations.
- Maintain and continuously refine a well‑structured AI use‑case backlog that aligns with leadership priorities, prevents duplication across tribes, and enables scalable implementation.
- Support and advise the Business Banking Leadership Team by providing clear monthly updates on progress, impact, resource needs, and escalations to ensure effective decision‑making and prioritization.
- As a project manager, you oversee every stage of AI initiatives, from initial idea through solution design, development, and scaling. For projects with varying scopes, you make sure the goal is achieved by maintaining progress, timely delivery and good stakeholder alignment.
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships within and outside Business Banking to stimulate collaboration, strengthen knowledge-sharing, and accelerate innovation across the organization.
About you

- You have strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to translate strategy into policy and executable plans.
- You are organizational sensitive and capable of creating buy-in and engagement at all levels of the organization.
- You are a naturally collaborative person, a strong personality who listens and knows when to push to break through existing routines.
- You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.
- You have strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and you can prioritize tasks.
- You feel comfortable working with deadlines, have a flexible attitude and possess strong work ethics.
- You are skilled to prepare inspiring presentations and short and snappy briefings and reports in PowerPoint – incl. Think cell, Word, and Excel.
- You can express yourself orally and in writing in both Dutch and English
