Are you currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program looking to gain practical exposure in a highly regulated environment. The job involves:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of AML reports and regulatory documentation to support compliance with FINTRAC, PCMLTFA, AGCO, and OLG requirements
  • Support Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, including research and documentation gathering
  • Assist with transaction monitoring activities by conducting preliminary analysis of patron transaction data and identifying patterns or anomalies for escalation review
  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and documentation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
  • Support the maintenance and updating of the corporate risk register, including documenting identified risks, controls, and mitigation strategies
  • Assist in monitoring vendor and tenant compliance with regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements
  • Conduct business analysis of tenant performance data and prepare summary reports identifying trends, anomalies, and potential risk exposures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patron and corporate information
  • Adhere to all internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory directives
  • Assist Compliance and Responsible Gambling Manager to create reports, review data, and assess signs of problem gambling
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related program (college or university)
  • In good academic standing and eligible to participate in a recognized co-operative education program
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and identify risk indicators
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, regulated business environment
