PURPOSE

The Business Associate III, under general supervision, provides support for business activities. Performs daily job duties surrounding departmental processes to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the card services department. Representative provides exceptional phone and email support to students, staff, faculty, affiliates, and parents for SandDollar Services- mail services and ID card services.  The SandDollar card carries similar regulations as a bank debit card and requires the similar compliance regulations.

DESCRIPTION

Functional Area 1: Administrative Support

Percent Effort: 50%

Job Duties

  • Provide outstanding customer service in all interactions by phone, email or In-Person to students, staff, faculty and campus community for SandDollar Services, Mail services, and ID card services.

  • Investigates errors on transactions and recommends and coordinates appropriate corrective action. Responds to inquiries from business unit.

  • Investigate and resolve mail service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.

  • Maintain expert knowledge pertaining to SandDollar$ Card System, and all the services it supports, including but not limited to dining services, mail services, GET services, vending services, and print. Maintain knowledge in TAMU-CC policies regarding the distribution mail and packages and collecting fees for services provided by Mail Services, and revenue maintained on the card from patrons.

  • Locate proper addresses and makes corrections for misdirected mail.

Functional Area 2: Operational

Percent Effort: 40%

Job Duties

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations to include cash handling.

  • Enter, review, and reconcile vouchers and requisitions. Monitor and reconcile multiple accounts. Assist with monitoring of the budget. Prepare financial statements.

  • Establish, maintain, and update students, faculty, staff, affiliates, or visitors SandDollar$ account including verifying all account information is correct and required official documentation is provided to establish a SandDollar$ ID and SandDollar$ account. Maintains individual mail services financial accounts by processing students, faculty, staff, affiliates adjustments.

  • Composes routine business-related correspondence. Maintain business files and assist with specialized business projects, tasks and activities. Disseminate business information as needed.

  • Responsible for attracting potential revenue by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.

Percent Effort: 10%

Job Duties

  • Cross-train with other delivery specialist and assist as needed.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Five (5) years of related experience.

  • Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements.

    • Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience.

    • Associates Degree and three (3) years of experience.

  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.

  • Intermediate skills in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently, to include organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.

  • Skill in the configuration and use of computerized database programs.

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

SALARY $19.38 Hourly ($40,310.40 Annually Approximately)
