This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:
CUSTOMER
- Support the implementation of Business Architecture practice within the Segments (e.g., understand strategy, identify value steams, distill into capability, assess capability maturity & gaps, build the TOM and advance the integrated roadmap, etc.)
- Support Enterprise views & TOMs for critical capabilities
- Gather the inputs to provide investment recommendations, based on business priorities (KPIs, OKRs, Objectives) and support implementations to accelerate transformation
- Strengthen and enable the adoption of practice (alignment and utilization of common model, tool, templates, change, adoption and communication plans)
- Provide guidance during frequent interactions with the working group and business leads; Act as an advocate for the area of responsibility
- Manage the ongoing sustainment model for the capabilities, tools, templates owned
SHAREHOLDER
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to business architecture activities within the business area
- Guide practitioners, business and executives in designing the target state for achieving strategic business outcomes and identifying business opportunities, that is driven by internal and external insights
- Contribute to the definition, development and enablement of an Enterprise Business Architecture Dashboard, that provides value driven insights to senior leadership on a number of variables – e.g., value streams, target state recommendations, capability maturity, inform investment decisions, asset redundancy, etc.
- Build and maintain common language and methodology across TD for Business Architecture.
- Support Executives as a subject matter expert for delivering the next evolution of key Business Architecture capabilities, tools, templates
- Define clear Business Architecture role accountabilities and interaction models with support functions
- Attend and participate in internal and external industry committees and/or conferences
- Clearly define success metrics around overall efficiency and effectiveness for areas of responsibilities
- Create and support consistency of methodology, interactions, tools and templates, with effective governance, to enable operational excellence in our discipline
- Accelerate Segment/Journey/Platform strategy development through value stream alignment, prioritization of features/investments and capability maturity and spend assessments
- Drive operational excellence through effective partnerships to support transformation
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk initiatives/ activities as necessary
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
- Execute and coordinate the Bus Arch activities for Projects/Initiatives/Journeys. Engage Enterprise on any critical Enterprise capabilities

- Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
- Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Acts as a business expert / lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty
- Leads cross-functional teams or projects with moderate to significant resource requirements, risk and/or complexity
- Independently manages end-to-end functional programs within own area of expertise
- Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions
- Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for
- Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
- Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise
- Generally reports to a Senior Manager or above
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or Business Architecture certificate and/or
- 7+ years relevant experience
- Previous Business Architecture, Business Analysis/ Product Management experience is an asset
- Technology fluency is an asset
- Experience with Business Architecture modelling and accompanying tools is an asset
- Be credible and have strong working knowledge in subject matter unique to the business or have direct access to these SMEs
- A seasoned professional with undergraduate degree or Business Architecture certificate
- Ability to provide leadership guidance on execution strategy and the development and deployment of projects and programs to solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad financial and operational impact
- Ability to connect the dots across products, channels, and segments to identify areas of value
- Ability to cut through complexity and ambiguity to communicate with and influence senior stakeholder group
- Dexterous in influential and negotiation skills for making recommendations and engaging shareholders to act for meeting the business needs on a complex project
- In-depth knowledge of using MS Office, analytical tools and techniques and project and risk management methodologies
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is an asset
- Previous management consulting experience is an asset
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
