Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Business Architect to develop, maintain, and enhance business architecture across key business areas. The successful candidate will ensure alignment of capability models, work items, and platform thinking across the ecosystem. Working closely with technical architects, you will ensure data, solution, and application architectures are seamlessly aligned to business architecture and effectively implemented in support of enterprise strategy, business strategy, and platform objectives.

•    Develop, maintain, and enhance business architecture frameworks aligned to enterprise and business strategy.
•    Manage expenditure planning, ensuring spend is within approved budget parameters.
•    Drive shareholder value through integrated frameworks, guidelines, and optimisation plans.
•    Align and innovate within area of specialisation to enable integrated solutions and long-term competitive advantage.
•    Design and implement new systems, solutions, and processes aligned to business strategy.
•    Apply an enterprise-wide perspective to strategy, governance, and organisational capabilities when developing architecture.
•    Set tactical and strategic goals that map to measurable metrics and provide organisational traceability.
•    Identify all external and internal entities—customers, suppliers, partners—and understand their interactions with business processes.
•    Define relationships among roles, capabilities, business units, and associated subunits.
•    Identify and analyse shared data across capabilities, customer segments, product pillars, and broader enterprise entities.
•    Apply structured architecture methodologies to capture key views of capabilities, customer segments, or product pillars.
•    Develop and maintain an architecture roadmap that is aligned with platform and capability architectures.
•    Conduct ongoing research to ensure architecture remains relevant and aligned to industry trends.
•    Apply design thinking to connect business intentions with business action in a cohesive, big-picture view.
•    Review and guide solution architectures to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
•    Serve as a liaison between business and IT, translating strategic and technical requirements between teams.
•    Provide support, motivation, and guidance to technology teams and business stakeholders.
•    Act as a change agent, driving enterprise transformation through business architecture models and solutions.
•    Develop and apply model-based representations to consolidate complex or fragmented business information.
•    Visualise and create scalable high-level models for future analysis and architectural maturity.
•    Integrate and interpret disparate documentation and articulate its relevance to priority business issues.
•    Negotiate trade-offs between architectural quality attributes and secure technology buy-in.
•    Champion architecture practices across the organisation to secure alignment and necessary approvals.
•    Establish collaborative structures and forums to promote shared learning and integration.
•    Drive business process standardisation across business units in line with the business architecture model.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Enterprise Architecture, or a related field.
•    A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Enterprise Architecture, or related field will be an added advantage.
•    Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, ArchiMate, Lean Six Sigma, or Design Thinking are strongly preferred.

Experience
•    Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis, or related fields.
•    Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide business architecture frameworks.
•    Experience working within complex, multi-disciplinary environments involving IT, data, and business teams.
•    Demonstrated ability to design strategic and tactical architecture roadmaps.
•    Experience with platform thinking, capability modelling, and customer-centric architecture approaches.
•    Strong background in analyzing data flows, business processes, and organisational structures.
•    Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change across diverse business units.
•    Demonstrated ability to negotiate, gain buy-in, and convey complex concepts across technical and business teams.
