Position Summary

The Business Analyst, Applications, internally titled Analyst, Applications, serves as a key technology partner to the organization, supporting and optimizing core business applications with a primary emphasis on Salesforce and the Microsoft ecosystem (including SharePoint, Power Apps, and related Power Platform tools). Reporting to the Director of Applications, this role is responsible for gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, managing recurring support issues, and providing Tier 2 application support escalating to software vendors as needed. The Analyst helps ensure that all technology solutions—especially Salesforce and Microsoft tools are aligned, scalable, and optimized to support business processes and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Enhances, configures, and administers Salesforce and integrated platforms, such as Azure and Box, while also contributing to Microsoft-based workflows, automation, and collaboration solutions. Additional application support may include systems like Yardi Voyager, Construction Manager, and Forecast Manager.

  • Partners closely with peers across the Applications team to drive system improvements, support project execution, develop product roadmaps, and contribute to training, documentation, and governance.

  • Responds to daily user requests, issues, and assignments related to Salesforce, SharePoint, Power Apps, and other supported applications; document progress and resolutions in the company ticketing and project management systems in coordination with the IT Helpdesk.

  • Administers user setup, security, and configuration across Salesforce and Microsoft tools, including provisioning users, managing permission sets, profiles, roles, groups, and access controls.

  • Provide regular, clear status updates regarding workload, project timelines, priorities, risks, and escalations.

  • Gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into solution designs for Salesforce, SharePoint sites/libraries, Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and other business applications.

  • Serve as the liaison with application vendors (Salesforce, Microsoft, and other integrated platforms), coordinating system configuration, security, upgrades, change management, outages, and troubleshooting escalations.

  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation including how‑to guides, configuration references, process documentation, and training materials; contribute to shared knowledge bases.

  • Collaborate throughout the project lifecycle using standard tools for tracking requirements, managing tasks, participating in QA testing, and coordinating with business stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Provide support for a wide range of users with varying technical abilities, delivering excellent customer service in person, via remote support, phone, and email.

  • Translate user needs into scalable technical solutions, using both Salesforce configuration tools and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities. Work in team settings to make decisions, manage priority changes, and address urgent incidents.

  • Design, test, and implement modifications and enhancements to Salesforce, SharePoint, Power Apps, and integrated systems; perform regression testing and validation to ensure applications function properly after updates.

  • Configure core Salesforce functionality, including flows, fields, lightning pages, record types, custom metadata/settings, reports, and dashboards. Manage all aspects of user lifecycle management and security, including org‑wide defaults (OWD), sharing rules, and data access governance.

  • Support application integrations across Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Nintex, DealSumm, Jones, Box, and other platforms, ensuring data quality and system reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum 3 -5 years of hands-on experience supporting or administering Salesforce. Experience with leasing, legal, or real‑estate‑focused systems is strongly preferred.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (required); additional Salesforce or Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, SharePoint, etc.) are preferred.

  • Industry experience in commercial real estate is highly valued, particularly within development, construction, leasing, or property management processes.

  • Experience contributing to technical architecture, application development, and integration planning/execution across enterprise platforms.

  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications, solution designs, and business cases.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues, determine root causes, and escalate appropriately when needed.

  • Ability to understand applications conceptually, ensuring integrations, data flows, and configurations function cohesively across Salesforce, Microsoft tools, and related platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for different audiences and maintain strong customer‑service orientation.

  • Strong time‑management, prioritization, and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, seeking guidance when appropriate and contributing effectively to team‑based initiatives.

  • SQL and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting.

  • Understanding of API integrations and ETL processes.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and SaaS applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Work Environment

Bedrock is an in-person, five-day-a-week workplace. All team members are expected to work on site Monday through Friday during standard business hours, unless otherwise specified by their role or designated shift. Some roles may have flexibility to work remotely on Fridays, based on the nature of the work and business needs. This flexibility is granted at the discretion of the Company and may be adjusted at any time.
