About the Role

 

Abacus Insights is seeking a Business & Data Analyst to support client‑facing healthcare data initiatives and platform optimization efforts. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare data, client engagement, and solution delivery. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, support solution design, and ensure high‑quality outcomes through testing and validation.

This is a hands‑on, client‑engaged role ideal for an analyst with experience in U.S. healthcare data environments who enjoys problem solving, collaboration, and turning complex data into actionable insights.

 

Your day to day

 

  • Partner with clients to understand business needs, operational challenges, and healthcare data requirements
  • Lead and support client discussions, working sessions, and planning meetings to gather and clarify requirements
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs
  • Support consulting engagements aimed at improving operational performance across healthcare platforms
  • Participate in on‑site and virtual discovery, planning, and requirements clarification sessions
  • Design and contribute to enhancements and modifications of platform components and data solutions
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases to validate system functionality and data accuracy
  • Analyze healthcare data to validate quality, identify trends, and support data‑driven decision making
  • Conduct process analysis and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms to support evolving client and product needs
  • Provide QA and application support to internal teams during testing and deployment phases
  • Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

 

What you bring to the team

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or consulting within the U.S. healthcare domain
  • Experience working with healthcare data and supporting client‑facing initiatives
  • Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, and solution translation
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to validate data quality, identify trends, and support insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
  • Proactive, organized, and self‑directed approach to managing project responsibilities
