Business Analytics Advisor - Cigna Healthcare - Hybrid

Job Summary:

As a key contributor within the Network Strategy & Product Solutions team, the Business Analytics Advisor will spearhead analytical efforts to quantify, demonstrate, and communicate the value of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Utilization Management (UM) solutions across the enterprise. This role is responsible for developing and applying actuarial methodologies to evaluate program performance, support strategic decision-making, and guide the evolution of EHR and UM initiatives. The Business Analytics Advisor will work independently and cross-functionally, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive affordability, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Value Measurement & Impact Analysis

  • Design and implement actuarial frameworks to measure the financial and clinical impact of EHR and UM programs.

  • Lead the development of models, tools and dashboards to track program performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

Strategic Decision Support

  • Build and validate business cases for EHR investments in collaboration with finance, product, and clinical teams.

  • Provide strategic insights to support pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.

Program Monitoring & Optimization

  • Lead analyses to assess program health and recommend enhancements.

  • Partner with provider-facing teams to ensure effective implementation and communication of EHR strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with operations, data science, and technology teams to ensure analytics are aligned with solution architecture and enterprise goals.

  • Contribute to broader strategic initiatives such as gold carding and high-performing provider strategies.

Leadership & Influence

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on actuarial modeling and healthcare analytics.

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a high-performing analytics culture.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of actuarial or healthcare analytics experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with Python, R, or SQL is a plus.

    • Experience creating dashboards (Databricks, Tableau, etc.) preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and translate data into strategic insights.

  • Proven ability to work across functions and lead analytical initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of EHR systems, utilization management, and provider network dynamics preferred.

  • Strategic mindset with passion for healthcare innovation ideal.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive measurable impact desired.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,000 - 160,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
