Our challenge

We are looking for a candidate that has hands-on application development to support current and target processes. Collaborate with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migrate to the strategic platform. Elaborate requirements for data sourcing elements for calculating risk-weighted assets. Define business logic for computing financial elements and process flows for generating Basel rules-based capital ratios. Ensure compliance with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a stable, scalable, and sustainable capital reporting and analysis platform.
  • Implementation of innovative tech-based solutions for regulatory capital calculations.
  • Performance tuning and optimization of data-intensive applications.
  • Building a strategic platform for regulatory capital reporting and analysis under Basel rules.
  • Migrating legacy systems to a modern, scalable architecture.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise application design and implementation.
  • Collaboration with a high-performing team in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Ability to read Python and translate that into logical components

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Basel regulations, Basel 3 endgame, FRTB, SACCR.
  • Ability to read Python and translate that into logical components.
  • Prior experience working on tools like Altryx, Trifacta
  • 5+ years of SQL programming experience (preferably Oracle Exadata).
  • Background in capital calculations and regulatory compliance.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • Familiarity with Quartz (internal bank platform).
  • Strong technical expertise in Python and big data technologies.
  • Proven ability to optimize and scale enterprise applications.
  • Innovative mindset with a track record of implementing creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital reporting and Basel rules.
