Business Unit Overview…
WB Technology combines Warner Bros. Discovery’s industry‑leading technologists and disciplines to ensure global alignment with business strategy and the accelerated delivery of innovative technology solutions. From pre‑production through archiving, the WBT organisation provides critical business and technology intelligence and services to all Studio business units. WBT manages enterprise systems, emerging platforms, information security, consumer intelligence, content mastering and delivery, and more.
Your New Role…
As a Business Analyst, you will partner with teams across the studio to gather requirements, analyse processes, and help shape effective technology solutions that align with strategic objectives. You will support process owners, stakeholders and technical partners to deliver improvements, guide solution deployment, and help ensure strong user adoption across the organisation.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Partner with the business to ensure appropriate usage of technology solutions.
• Document business processes, use cases and requirements, and recommend process re‑engineering opportunities and performance improvements.
• Translate designs into functional and technical specifications that meet business needs.
• Develop cost‑benefit cases and analyse the realisation of post‑deployment benefits.
• Create detailed User Acceptance Test plans, organise and conduct UAT and training activities, and support effective delivery and user adoption.
• Monitor and analyse post‑stabilisation user adoption and evolving business processes, recommending required solution modifications.
• Coordinate and support system implementations.
• Provide end‑user support across a variety of systems.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst, process definition, or process re‑engineering role.
• Demonstrable experience partnering with senior business executives, process sponsors and stakeholders in a facilitation role.
• Demonstrable experience partnering with 3rd‑party service providers and offshore or virtual teams.
• Demonstrable experience working in internal or external business, management or technology consulting.
• Experience within the entertainment industry is highly desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is highly desirable.
• Elicitation and documentation of use cases, user stories, functional requirements and functional specifications.
• Decomposition and communication of information using business analysis techniques (e.g., flow charts, wireframes, screen mock‑ups) for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Identification of process inefficiencies and improvements, with strong proficiency in process re‑engineering and process modelling.
• Measurement and prioritisation of scope items aligned with business strategy, including development of business cases and ROI analyses.
• Creation of functional impact analyses for new capabilities.
• Functional knowledge of the television production business area (highly desirable).
• Ability to manage dependencies and risks associated with strategic technology deliverables.
• Demonstrable experience collaborating with vendors in alternate time zones.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including the ability to act as a Product Owner Agent.
• Capacity to work flexible hours, including across multiple time zones, with potential international travel.
