What’s the role
As a Business Analyst specializing in SAP MM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how the Lubes Supply Chain operates by using your expertise to uncover real business problems, define value drivers, and capture the functional and non-functional requirements that lead to smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to transform these insights into meaningful SAP MM functionality – evaluating feasibility, risks, and business impact while influencing how decisions are made. In this role, you’ll dive into process assessments, data flows, and current-state challenges to identify opportunities for improvement that truly move the business forward. You’ll also create clear, dynamic documentation that evolves with the project, and you’ll have a platform to influence stakeholders through compelling presentations, business cases, and proposals. This is a role where your analytical skills, curiosity, and ability to collaborate will directly shape the future of our ERP capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
Manage and maintain SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement and Warehouse Management functionalities, with deep expertise in MM master data, including Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchase Info Records, Source Lists, and Service Masters.
Define and manage key master data attributes such as material types (including non‑stock and non‑valuated materials), number ranges, material groups, and account assignments.
Support and optimize end‑to‑end procurement processes, covering Direct and Indirect Material Procurement, Subcontracting, Imports, RFQ management, Contracts, and Vendor Returns.
Configure and enhance the MM module, including enterprise structure setup, pricing procedures, split valuation, and output determination.
Handle special procurement scenarios such as Subcontracting, Stock Transport Orders, and Consignment processes.
Work with Stock Transfer Orders for both packed shipments (LE) and bulk shipments (IS‑OIL TD).
Oversee Inventory Management activities, including goods receipt, goods issue, transfer postings, stock transfers, and physical inventory execution.
Apply strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify, investigate, and resolve system errors efficiently.
Support Warehouse Management/Stockroom operations and ensure seamless MM–WM integration, including 3PL interface handling.
Collaborate across modules with teams in SAP PP/QM, SD, LE, TD, and FI to ensure smooth cross‑functional process integration.
Work with SAP authorization concepts, including roles, authorization objects, and security‑aligned access management.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5–8 years of IT ERP experience with a strong focus on SAP Materials Management.
Hands-on experience across multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout projects.
Experience working with third‑party interfaces and IDocs processing.
Exposure to brownfield S/4HANA migration projects is a strong advantage.
Ability to understand and analyze AS‑IS business processes by reviewing existing documentation and scenarios.
Knowledge of SAP PP or QM modules is a plus.
Proficiency in ABAP programming for custom developments is desirable.
Ability to define test strategies and automation approaches; create test scripts; execute unit, integration, and support regression testing.
Experience using HP ALM or similar testing tools.
IS-OIL module experience is an added advantage.
Ability to be present onsite at key project stages as required.
Strong understanding of SAP project methodologies, including ASAP and Agile, for structured and systematic implementations.
Strong understanding of interface processes, including partner profile setup, middleware mappings/translations, issue resolution with middleware and connected applications (CAPs), IDoc monitoring/troubleshooting and reprocessing, collaborating with ABAP teams for debugging IDoc FM/program issues, performing end‑to‑end testing of inbound/outbound interfaces with CAPs, and updating functional documentation (RIEFs) where required.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification is a plus.
