Position Summary:

 

The Business Analyst role is analytical, technical, and collaborative in nature. You will be responsible for the independent management of all aspects of pricing including but not limited to production and implementation of pricing calculations/analysis, clear and concise communication of pricing decisions, and the overall optimization of financial performance for a wide range of clients and pharmacies.

 

You will also work collaboratively with the Senior Pricing manager to ensure that pricing decisions are in line with overarching enterprise-level goals and will be expected to be able to communicate their findings and decisions effectively to senior management periodically. Also, you will be responsible for the ownership and generation of regular ad hoc reporting and analysis as it relates to overall company KPIs, specific marketing campaign performance, and competitive pricing stances. This includes maintaining existing reports, drawing conclusions from those reports, and making recommendations to senior management.

 

You will assist the Senior Pricing Manager in the process management of RxSense’s Quarterly Financial Reconciliations as well as the generation of the reconciliation summaries. He or She will be responsible for a timely and accurate production of the necessary pharmacy and client reconciliation materials and will work closely with the Senior Pricing Manager to manage the reconciliation process and strategize any necessary changes as they arise.

 

You will also contribute to cross-functional projects with the marketing, PR, and social media Teams. The Business Analyst must be able to combine both soft skills and strong analytical abilities to communicate complex pricing and business findings with both senior management as well as external clients in a clear and concise manner that will assist RxSense in achieving overall business goals in an accurate and effective manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage and generate pricing decisions to hit internal performance targets and identify opportunities to test and optimize pricing
    • Maintain and help develop multiple pricing plans across a variety of business cohorts
    • Design and build reporting to monitor and communicate pricing internally to management and senior management.
    • Proactively manage prices to line up with business goals while also reactively making changes to pricing based on feedback from performance monitoring reporting
    • Modify pricing plans in RxSense’s proprietary platform based on client needs

 

  • Create, maintain, and manage reporting to support marketing/PR teams. (weekly/daily)
    • Utilize historical data on drug volume trends to produce data for PR initiatives and marketing claims
    • Work with marketing teams to determine drugs for drug-specific marketing campaigns
    • Create data visualizations for use in marketing and PR materials

 

  • Create, maintain, and manage necessary business intelligence reporting for distribution to marketing, finance, and data science teams (weekly/daily)
    • Utilizing 3rd party data from vendors, combine with internal data sets to create reporting around overall price competitiveness segmented by pharmacy, drug group, and volume
    • Intake custom criteria from senior management for visualizations for the purposes of contract negotiations and business presentations to potential 3rd party clients
    • Work cross functionally with Data science team to help facilitate any database work needed to generate reporting
    • Improve processes or quality of existing business intelligence reporting, creating new reports as needs of the business shift

 

  • Own the maintenance of RxSense’s Pharmacy and Client Reconciliation Processes/Summaries
    • Generate Accurate Pharmacy reconciliation reports for each quarter for a wide range of different pharmacy reimbursement methods
    • Assist with implementation of new client and pharmacy contracts, including data entry and changes to Client and Pharmacy reconciliation processes
    • Ensure all summaries are accurate and reviewed thoroughly within the context of the contract language before completing
    • Manage the change management process to the Contract Rates Table as needed to make sure internal performance tracking will accurately reflect what is in the signed agreements.

 

  • Create, maintain, and manage ad hoc analysis for performance of third-party clients (monthly)
    • Includes reporting and analysis of volume trends, drug seasonality, and financial performance
    • May include presentation of analytical summaries and findings to external third-party clients
    • Be able to speak to high level analytical topics and strategies that are represented in analytical summaries.   

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field of study, or 1+ years of experience with quantitative analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with SQL and Python preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Salary Range: 70,000 - 90,000
