About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Design Research & Strategy Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Research and design of the existing mobile and internet channels while following existing branding protocols
  • Work with internal teams to implement approved design strategies and research and plan mobile and internet channel creation and expansion
  • Research growth opportunities that advance the online customer experience strategy
  • Create or collaborate on new and existing web or multimedia applications
  • Ensure consistency throughout the creation of electronic communications and websites by utilizing company brand and quality standards
  • Collaborate and consult with other designers and internal groups
  • Mentor less experienced individuals

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Good understanding of AI/GenAI capabilities, limitations, and business use cases

Ability to assess where AI can improve analysis, decision‑making, documentation, or execution

Use AI tools responsibly to support requirement analysis, summarization, and insight generation

Ability to frame clear, structured prompts to obtain accurate, relevant outputs from AI tools

Translate business questions into well‑defined AI prompts (objective, context, constraints

Use prompts to: 1 Summarize complex documents, 2 Compare options or scenarios, 3 Generate hypotheses or alternative solutions

Recognize poor or ambiguous prompts and refine them for better outcomes

Document assumptions and logic when AI is used for decision support

Analyze data, trends, and insights to support requirement and prioritization decisions

Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, pattern recognition, and summarization—while retaining accountability

Distinguish insights from opinions and clearly articulate reasoning

Validate data sources and challenge outputs that conflict with business context

Define and document requirements and user stories using Jira as prescribed by the team, ensure proper backlog grooming and sprint readiness, and run appropriate meetings to validate the artefacts produced prior to signoff

Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams

Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and process mapping exercisesCreate detailed process flows, user journeys, wireframes, mock ups, and interactive prototypes

Work closely with Product Owners, Technology, Operations, Compliance, UAT, & QA teams

Identify, analyse and manage risks, issues and interdependencies, escalating as necessary and ensure project tasks are completed according to established timelines

Build relationships and influence Internal and external stakeholders to help navigate Wells Fargo move towards the it future state in line with the firm strategy and business objectives.

Graduate/Post-graduate with relevant work experience in Financial/BFSI industry

Certifications in Agile, SDLC and PSPO, CSPO, BA, Scrum principles will be preferred

Experience in business-technology environment, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

Exceptional communication and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization.

Experience working within both waterfall and agile methods of project delivery.

Fluent in the following applications: All MS Office Application and Agile Enterprise Jira, and Confluence.

This role requires hybrid working set-up with at least 3 days working from office in a week or as per required policy. Shift timings: India and US interface role typically until 11:30PM India.
