Business Analyst

You are a Business Analyst with experience in advising on data collection, ensuring alignment with long-term data management and governance plans, and building and maintaining solutions that drive continuous improvement. Your role provides support to central projects, acting as a bridge between operational processes and systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Additionally, you are able to identify and recommend enhancements to business systems that support program needs and organizational objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the organization-wide Business Intelligence strategy
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to support with elicit, interpretation, and validate requirements for developing business processes, reporting and supporting system functionality
  • Supports with documentation and presentation of requirements through system specifications, business process and system documentation, and business case recommendations for new improvement opportunities
  • Maintains a repository of documented processes and reports, including requirements, ensuring they are up to date and accessible for future reference
  • Performs end-to-end software testing to ensure new features and updates meet business requirements.
  • Facilitates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions to gain stakeholder approval prior to production releases.
  • Provides ongoing scheduled end-user training and conducts “train-the-trainer” sessions for new processes and system releases.
  • Utilize Power Apps to streamline and automate business processes.
  • Supports troubleshooting, resolves user issues, and ensures alignment with business needs through continuous system oversight
  • Supports the migration of financial data to the data lake and update existing reports to source data from the data lake
  • Works alongside the IS and Finance leaders to ensure proper controls and security rules are implemented for all reporting and data access requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant business improvement experience (working with integrated systems and data management tools)
  • Expert to Intermediate MS Suite and Power BI skills
  • Expertise in using Low-Code platforms
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system design specifications
  • Familiarity with data modelling concepts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment, engaging in multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to juggle and reprioritize based on business demands
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a remote team.
  • Ability to present information clearly in an appropriate style to persuade others in straightforward situations.
  • Knowledge of workflow software design best practices is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of SharePoint configuration and experience with Power Automate and/or Power Apps is considered an asset

Work Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid position where you will be required to be in office multiple times per week
