Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Senior General Business Intern in our Huntsville, AL office supporting government program operations through business analysis, data-driven decision support, and process improvement activities. The selected candidate will operate under a senior program manager and support projects around critical infrastructure, directed energy, ground-based mobile satellite communication systems, and radio frequency (RF) engineering. The Business Analyst Intern will receive direct mentorship in project management and execution including financial / earned value management (EVM) reporting. This position will apply principles and techniques of program management business analyst and financial acumen to support the program management staff on projects supporting all phases of design, development, integration/implementation, analysis, and testing.

This role is designed for a senior-level undergraduate student preparing for entry into a professional analyst or program support position. The intern will apply foundational business and analytical skills to assist program managers in tracking performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting mission outcomes using structured analysis and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Assist in supporting program execution across cost, schedule, and scope for contracts with prime partners

· Support project data analysis, integration, and reporting including financial tracking, quality metrics, trend analysis, and basic forecasting inputs

· Assist in tracking program costs, budgets, and financial data to support execution and reporting

· Assist in developing dashboards, reports, briefing materials, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

· Support meetings, working groups, and program reviews; capture and summarize key decisions and action items

· Contribute to monitoring system performance and adapting to evolving user requirements for systems deployed globally

· Assist with identifying risks, tracking issues in real time, and supporting corrective action plans in dynamic operating environments

· Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical solutions

· Support coordination of program activities, schedules, and logistics across cross-functional teams (engineering, security, logistics, manufacturing, finance, subcontractors)

· Support development of briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal leadership and customer engagements

· Assist with customer-facing activities and communication efforts to ensure responsiveness to stakeholder needs and expectations

· Participate in business planning, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts

· Communicate effectively and collaborate with other disciplines, (i.e. security, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, management, vendors, customers, and subcontractor personnel

· Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and program requirements

· Abide by company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

· Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

· Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance

· Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Finance, or a related field

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

· Must be currently enrolled as a senior or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from an accredited college or university

· Internship, coursework, or exposure to project management, program controls, or financial analysis

· Basic understanding of RF systems or defense-related programs (helpful but not required)

· Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or data analysis tools

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
