Business Analyst

About your role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a strategic programme involving the migration of credit card portfolios from one processing platform to another. The role demands deep payments domain expertise, strong analytical capability, and proven experience delivering complex, large‑scale migrations in regulated environments.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the practical application of AI in business analysis, including the use of AI‑enabled tools to accelerate requirements gathering, improve documentation quality, automate analysis tasks, and enhance traceability and validation.

What you’ll do:

  • Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis - Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to elicit, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements. Analyse existing credit card issuing and processing workflows, identify gaps, and define future‑state requirements aligned to migration objectives.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tools to - Accelerate requirements discovery and summarisation. Improve consistency and quality of requirement definitions. Support impact analysis and dependency identification.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with business outcomes.
  • Migration Analysis & Planning Support - Support the design and execution of credit card platform migration strategies, ensuring minimal customer and operational disruption. Define and validate data mapping, transformation rules, reconciliation requirements, and cutover dependencies. Assist in planning and validation of parallel runs, rehearsals, and migration checkpoints, with a focus on data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Process & Functional Documentation - Produce high‑quality business process models, functional specifications, migration artefacts, and data definitions. Maintain end‑to‑end requirements traceability from business need through design, build, and test.
  • Testing, Validation & Readiness - Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system integration testing activities related to migrated functionality. Validate migrated data, business rules, and processing outcomes against defined requirements. Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, and operational readiness standards.
  • Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration - Act as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, delivery partners, and vendors. Support project leadership with status reporting, impact assessments, and risk identification. Contribute to governance forums and working sessions with clear, data‑driven insights.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Strong understanding of credit card issuing, processing platforms, and payment ecosystems. Working knowledge of payments regulatory requirements, including PCI DSS and local regulations.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with VisionPLUS / FirstVision platforms for credit and debit card management.
  • Familiarity with authorisation, clearing, settlement, dispute management, and lifecycle events.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale data migration programmes, including data mapping and reconciliation.
  • Ability to analyse large data sets and perform impact and dependency analysis.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance business analysis activities, particularly requirements definition and analysis efficiency.
  • Prior involvement in platform migration or major transformation programmes within payments or financial services.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with leading card processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging, APIs, and service‑based integrations in card processing.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CBAP, PMP, payments‑specific certifications) are desirable.
