Job Summary
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct data analysis, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making.
Overview of Responsibilities and Expectations for the Role
- A Business Analyst (BA) plays a vital role in bridging business needs with technology solutions.
- They work closely with stakeholders to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into actionable insights that align with strategic goals and deliver measurable value.
- Flexibility is essential, as BAs may be assigned to projects across different functions based on business priorities.
Requirements Engineering & User Story Development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
- Conduct gap analysis and refine user stories based on feedback from development and testing teams.
- Support business acceptance and testing through test case creation and functional documentation.
Solution Design & Validation
- Partner with technical teams to design solutions that meet business objectives
- Facilitate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure business readiness.
- Collaborate with QA to develop test plans and scripts.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze business data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
Process & System Harmonization
- Drive harmonization of business processes, data models, and system implementations.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Support change management and process reengineering initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Build trust-based relationships with stakeholders across markets and functions.
- Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather input and share findings.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare business documentation including user stories, process flows, and training materials.
- Stay informed on industry trends and contribute to the refinement of business analysis standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in business analysis, specifically in the system or domain they will be supporting.
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to drive harmonized ways of working.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, Confluence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
