Who You’ll Work With

You will work with Associate Director Actuarial Support.

About The Role

The Business Analyst in Actuarial Decision Support partners with actuarial, finance, billing, ops, risk, and IT teams to analyze data, support actuarial models, and deliver insights that inform key business and risk decisions. This role focuses on translating complex actuarial requirements into actionable analyses while ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and timely decision support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ALS application’s subject matter expert and IT liaison for the Life Operations teams
  • Assemble Business requirements for enhancements and bug fixes
  • Create test plans and facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Analyze potential application bugs, assembling scope and impact analysis results as needed
  • Track application issues
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders of application issues
  • Assist with the development and execution of manual workarounds
  • Run ad hoc queries
  • Assist with audits and Variable Universal Life fund mergers
  • Help the Complex Illustration team by occasionally running inforce illustrations for universal life policies
  • Apply risk management practices to all aspects of the role

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 + years of work experience in the life insurance industry
  • Complex life insurance processing experience within the ALS application or previous experience as a life insurance System Support Analyst
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable collaborating and working in groups but also able to work independently with limited direction
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Understanding of complex life insurance products and concepts preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Computer programming skills are a plus

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely
