The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in strengthening construction inspection and compliance reporting by bridging business operations, data, and technology. Reporting to the Manager, Project Systems & Analytics, the Business Analyst will help drive operational visibility, data integrity, and continuous improvement across inspection systems that support safe, compliant, and efficient construction activities.
You’ll work closely with construction, field inspection, compliance, IS, and reporting stakeholders to translate complex operational needs into practical system solutions and meaningful insights. Your work will directly support regulatory compliance, operational decision‑making, and performance transparency across construction programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys working in a hands‑on, operational environment, influencing how data is captured, analyzed, and used to improve inspection quality and project outcomes.
What you'll do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate detailed and dynamic business and operational requirements into practical and sustainable processes and solutions for projects and initiatives.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement within business processes and recommend pragmatic solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Create, maintain, and adhere to comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents, functional specifications, training documents, and process flow diagrams.
Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and support functions to ensure alignment, clarity, and ongoing support.
Deliver user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and support to end-users on new systems and processes to ensure smooth adoption and effective usage.
Support change management efforts by helping communicate updates, impacts, benefits, and coordination of resolutions to end users.
Proactively build expertise in new tools and technologies to enhance support capabilities, drive efficiencies, and improve solution stability and performance.
Maintaining confidentiality as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analysis role, preferably within a corporate environment.
Relevant certifications or experience (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma, API 1169, or Microsoft Power BI) are an asset.
Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify key trends and insights.
Proficient in clearly conveying information to with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
Skilled in developing process and technical solutions, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating timely resolutions to overcome business challenges.
Capable of planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery.
Knowledgeable in using business analysis software and tools to gather and analyze data.
Experience in managing relationships and expectations with various business, IT, and support stakeholders.
Expertise in creating, analyzing, and adhering to detailed documentation such as business requirement documents, training materials, and process flow diagrams.
Ability to lead and support testing activities, validate resolutions, and ensure changes meet business requirements.
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with evolving priorities and support demands. Continuously expanding technical and tool knowledge to enhance support capabilities, drive efficiencies, and improve solution stability and performance.
Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with service impacts and business processes and projects.
