Your opportunity
Boliden IT is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in stabilizing and further developing our Sales & Logistics Platform (SLP) based on Microsoft Dynamics. We are embarking on a significant improvement journey where requirement quality, change management, and collaboration between IT, Business, and delivery partners will be strengthened.
What you will do:
As a Business Analyst, you will act as the vital link between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that our MS Dynamics SLP meets expectations and delivers value. You will capture, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and follow them throughout the entire change lifecycle.
You will also drive improvements in ways of working, enhance requirement specifications, and support a more structured approach to backlog, incident, and change management.
Key responsibilities
Capture, analyze, and document business requirements and processes within Sales & Logistics.
Translate business needs into high-quality functional specifications.
Ensure solution proposals and deliveries align with actual business requirements.
Collaborate with Service Areas, Enterprise Architecture, delivery partners (e.g., Sogeti), and internal IT teams on requirement handling and solution design.
Support planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Identify gaps in requirements management and propose process improvements.
Actively contribute to reducing backlog and improving delivery quality.
Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and decision-making between Business and IT.
Ensure effective knowledge transfer across Business, IT, and suppliers.
Provide guidance on governance, processes, competencies, and communication structures within Application Management.
What you bring
You are a structured, analytical problem solver with strong communication skills. You excel at translating business needs into technical solutions and bringing clarity to complex environments.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT environments.
Strong understanding of requirements management, change management, and incident processes.
Experience with MS Dynamics or similar ERP/CRM/business platforms.
Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
Ability to facilitate workshops and manage stakeholder expectations.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
A consultative mindset with a holistic view of processes and dependencies.
Financial understanding to support cost and effort estimation processes.
