Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly experienced Technical Business Analyst to lead comprehensive analysis, documentation, and solution design initiatives across banking, financial services, and wealth management domains. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to capture both functional and non-functional requirements, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, and supporting ongoing project execution. Your expertise will enable optimal system performance, compliance, and operational efficiency, facilitating digital transformation and innovative product delivery.
Software Requirements
Required:
Proficiency in creating and managing functional and non-functional specifications, technical architecture, process flows, data sequences, and integration documentation (10+ years)
Extensive experience in supporting production systems and conducting incident triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Visio, SharePoint, Jira, HP QC, and Confluence (10+ years)
Strong understanding of N-tier architecture, UX/UI principles, APIs/Web services, message queues (MQ), databases (SQL & NoSQL), and batch processing
Experience with agile practices, including user story writing, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred:
Experience in banking or financial services industries supporting complex domain-specific solutions
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, documentation, and design of enterprise-grade business solutions supporting BFSI and wealth management functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business stakeholders, architects, and QA—to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical specifications
Develop and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, workflows, and process maps aligned with organizational standards
Participate actively in project planning, impact assessments, and functional discussions to identify potential solutions and risks
Support incident triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution to maintain system reliability and performance
Drive continuous improvement of processes, standards, and documentation practices
Lead technical reviews and mentor junior analysts to uphold best practices
Support system and process migrations, enhancements, and regulatory compliance efforts
Ensure all deliverables support operational excellence, security, and compliance standards
Technical Skills (By Category)
Requirement Gathering & Documentation:
Creating comprehensive technical and functional specifications, process flows, and data models
Domain & Business Knowledge:
BFSI domain expertise, including Wealth Management, AML, and Regulatory reporting (preferred)
Tools & Frameworks:
JIRA, Confluence, HP QC for requirement management and documentation
Modeling tools: MS Visio or similar for process and architecture diagrams
Data & System Integration:
Knowledge of API/Message Queue integrations (MQ, REST, SOAP)
Data mapping, validation, and reconciliation strategies
Cloud & DevOps:
Understanding of cloud deployment in Azure, AWS, or GCP (preferred)
Familiarity with DevOps practices supporting solution deployment and automation
Security & Compliance:
Experience with data security, audit standards, and regulatory frameworks supporting BFSI
Experience Requirements
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting BFSI, Wealth Management, or Regulatory environments
Proven track record of leading requirements gathering, cross-team collaboration, and documentation for enterprise-class solutions
Extensive experience with incident support and problem resolution in production systems
Experience with agile methodologies and managing complex project deliverables
Domain experience in banking or finance industry is highly preferred
Day-to-Day Activities
Engage with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and document functional, technical, and data specifications
Lead impact analysis and feasibility assessments on new or existing systems
Develop process flows, system architecture diagrams, and integration documentation
Support incident management, root cause analysis, and defect resolution activities in production environments
Collaborate with development, architecture, QA, and operations teams to ensure technical solutions support operational objectives
Conduct regular stakeholder meetings, presentations, and reviews
Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and continuous process improvements
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation supporting compliance and audit requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fields; Master’s preferred
10+ years supporting enterprise BFSI or wealth management systems
Industry certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are advantageous
Proven expertise in requirements analysis, process modeling, and solution design in regulated environments
