Brown & Brown is seeking Business Analyst to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL. 

 

The Business Analyst role helps guide the company, division or office to improve processes, products, service and software through data analysis. The role straddles the line between IT and the business through collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements to support the development and implementation of software.

 

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Support the CITO by conducting comprehensive technology vendor research to assess innovative solutions.
  • Perform competitive analysis to monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings, providing actionable insights.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare IT performance, processes, and tools against industry best practices and competitors.
  • Gather and analyze data to produce insights that guide IT and business alignment, efficiency, and operational improvements.
  • Leverage Microsoft capabilities to automate and optimize IT executive processes and administration.
  • Create regular reports and dashboards for IT leadership to track technology investments, performance, and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support business units in enhancing technology-enabled workflows.
  • Work with the business to prioritize requirements
  • Communicate with project team members and external customers and/or vendors to ensure that critical information is shared in a timely manner 
  • Assist in business change management activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Build and monitor KPI’s and help the team to make improvements to ensure the team is working efficiently.
  • Work with the business and IT teams to define, create and execute project plans.
  • Provide monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones and accountability.
  • Facilitate checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Ensures all projects meet success parameters stated in business case
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • Business Analyst certification (preferred)

 

Skills & Experience to be Successful: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in IT or technology-driven environments.
  • Strong ability to research and evaluate technology vendors and solutions.
  • Experience with competitive analysis, market trend research, and benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with IT leadership, business units, and external partners.
  • Experience using data visualization tools, business intelligence platforms, and process mapping. gathers and analyzes information skillfully and maintains confidentiality 
  • Ability to lead meetings both on-site and virtual teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate both horizontally and vertically across the organization
