Job Description:
- Serve as technical expert in cost optimization aspects of public cloud services;
- Provide solutions for stakeholders in Operations, Finance, and Engineering for providing transparency, analysis and optimization recommendations for our AWS/Azure/GCP spend;
- Develop and implement reporting mechanisms (dashboards, alerts) to give stakeholders clear visibility into cloud spending patterns, cost drivers, and anomalies;
- Analyze cloud cost data to identify trends, pinpoint areas of inefficiency, and assess the impact of cost optimization initiatives;
- Propose specific cost-saving strategies like rightsizing, reserved instances, or spot instances, tailored to the unique needs and goals of Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams;
- Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and ensure that cloud resource allocation and spending align with strategic objectives;
- Manage engineering teams so that they can deliver cost efficient features;
- Communicate, establish, and measure KPIs to track progress and success of transformation and optimization; and
- Track savings impact across multi-cloud from optimization projects.

Education + Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of experience as a Business Analysis Manager, Business Analyst, or related occupation; and,
- 3 years of experience in the following skills:
- Python, PySpark, SQL, PowerBI, DAX, Fabric, MS Excel, API Integration, and MS PowerAutomate;
- Amazon Web Services including Amazon Athena, Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports (CUR), AWS Budgets, and Trusted Advisor;
- Microsoft Azure including Cost Management + Billing, Azure Advisor, and Azure Reservations;
- Leading and mentoring team members; and
- Determining business requirements for stakeholders.
In the alternative, Wolters Kluwer will accept the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field plus 7 years of experience as a Business Analysis Manager, Business Analyst, or related occupation; and
- 5 years of experience in the following skills:
- Python, PySpark, SQL, PowerBI, DAX, Fabric, MS Excel, API Integration, and MS PowerAutomate;
- Amazon Web Services including Amazon Athena, Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports (CUR), AWS Budgets, and Trusted Advisor;
- Microsoft Azure including Cost Management + Billing, Azure Advisor, and Azure Reservations;
- Leading and mentoring team members; and
- Determining business requirements for stakeholders.

Compensation:
$98,500.00 - $172,675.00 USD
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
