About the Role:
As a Business Analysis and Requirements Specialist, you will assist our clients in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) in advancing their Digital Transformation efforts by innovating, integrating, and accelerating advanced solutions that enhance operational readiness, strengthen decision-making and empower command for the challenges of tomorrow.  Key parts of the role include gathering, documenting and analysing requirements from the users of a large DND software suite, and then evaluating solutions to these requirements in conjunction with Development and In-Service Support teams.  To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to quickly gain knowledge of Department of National Defence (DND) / RCN processes and applications, and be comfortable facilitating and taking part in workshops and collaborative efforts, which will make up a significant portion of the work.

The position requires on-site work at DND’s Carling Campus at least 2 days per week, with the rest of the work performed remotely (telework).  Although this opportunity is aimed at a consultant/contractor, an employment arrangement could also be considered.

What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs—more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient and more sustainable mining.  Outside the mining sector, Weir Marine Engineering has managed and operated the Naval Engineering Test Establishment for the Department of National Defence since 1964.
