Your Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting people to overcome challenges and achieve independence? We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused business and finance administration Officer to support the smooth financial and administrative operations of our aged care service.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure the efficient delivery of financial administration services, with a strong focus on managing consumer funds, accounts, and compliance with aged care standards. You’ll be the backbone of financial processes at the facility, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely service delivery. The role is suitable for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with systems and people, and is committed to delivering accurate, ethical, and respectful financial services.

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Process all invoices, ensuring transactions are legitimate, accurately coded, and supported by appropriate approvals prior to payment.

  • Coordinate payroll activities to ensure staff are paid accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Undertake Medicare reconciliation to ensure funding is correctly claimed, received, and accounted for.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, with all balances supported and maintained in line with accounting standards and organisational policies

  • Prepare and manage month‑end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to stakeholders to support informed decision‑making

  • Support residents with financial matters involving external agencies like Centrelink and NSW Trustee and Guardians

  • Maintain accurate and up to date consumer financial records and agreements

  • Provide clear financial statements and receipts to consumer

  • Respond to enquiries from residents, families with professionalism and empathy

  • Ensure all financial processes comply with organisational policies and procedures

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualification or Degree in Business or Finance Minimum 1 year experience in financial administration, accounts or similar role

  • Experience in community services or aged care desirable

  • Excellent customer service experience, including managing challenging situations

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and use initiative

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and WWCC.
