We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BackUp Engineer to work closely with our client at their site in East Midlands.

Essential Requirements:

1. SC Cleared, UK National (No Dual Nationality)

2. EMC Networker skills / EMC Storage desirable

3. Located locally in the East Midlands (Derby, Nottingham, Leicester)

4. Willing to work on a client site 3 days a week.

 

 

Daily Duties include- Run

 

  • Daily backup checks across 11 Datazones (airgapped)
  • Data Domain management including Disk replacements.
  • Data Recovery – Tape Archive Solution
  • Backup configuration (creation, modification, deletion)
  • Adhoc backup & recovery requests
  • Monthly reporting of backup statistics
  • Weekly Data Domain capacity reporting
  • BuR Support for Linux/Wintel/Apps/Storage/Oracle/SQL
  • BuR Support for ECOsystem partners
  • BuR Support for project team
  • ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change)
  • RTPA Signoff / HOP

 

Technology Experience Required:

 

  • EMC Networker 9/19.2/19.9
  • EMC Data Domain
  • Linux
  • Windows
  • Scripting (Bash/Powershell)
  • DDOS 7
