What you’ll do

Bulk Shipper/Receiver plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate receiving of quality ingredients and shipping of quality Trouw Nutrition products at Sherwood Park Feed Mill. This position supports uninterrupted production operations by proactively identifying and resolving issues.

  • Receives and accurately records incoming ingredients

  • Conducts quality checks and performs physical and NIR testing on ingredients and finished products

  • Processes shipment of products

  • Completes monthly inventory and shortage reports

  • Provides support to customers with constant interaction with customer

  • Regular engagement with customers, guide and support them as they independently select their feed

  • No fear of heights – 200 ft climb to measure the quantity of ingredients in the bin. No fear of confined space.

Who we’re looking for

  • Ability to regularly bend, twist, climb ladders and stairs, open/close lids and stand for extended periods

  • Capable of operating equipment and working at heights and confined spaces when required

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 kg (55 lbs) regularly

  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced physically demanding environment

  • Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and variable-temperature environment

  • Use of personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety boots, etc.) as required

You’ll also need

  • 2–3 years of experience in production environment (feed mill/manufacturing experience preferred)

  • Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required, shift time: 06.00 Am to 2.30 Pm OR 2.00 Pm to 10.30 Pm.  Rotating shifts.

  • Ability to perform approximately 80% of work both indoors and outdoors. 20% indoor.

  • Forklift and Skid steer experience is an asset

  • Class 5 driver’s license is an asset
