Job Title: Building Services Aide (housekeeping)

Employment Type: PRN

Shift : Evening – 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (with every other weekend commitment)

Location: St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA

Position Purpose:

  • The Building Services Aide performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department.

As a “Building Services Aide” you will:

  • This position is responsible for all general cleaning task in maintaining an assigned area of the hospital in a clean, sanitary, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the patients, colleagues and public.

  • The environmental service technician promotes sanitary conditions, which prevents the spread of infection and odors.

  • May be required to perform task, which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.

  • Performs all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.

  • Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating condition. Respects Hospital and Company property.

  • Similar duties may also extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings and the adjacent grounds of the Medical Center’s premises.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)

  • 1 year experience (minimum)

  • 2-4 years experience (preferred)
