This Building Inspector position is seeking an experienced structural inspector. A candidate should have a keen eye for detail, direct experience in the permitting, installation, and alteration of construction projects, ideally in both residential and commercial applications.

The Building Inspector is responsible for performing technical inspection work throughout the county. This individual will inspect various structures (industrial, commercial, residential, etc.) to ensure compliance with building codes. The Building Inspector reviews blueprints, diagrams and plans, and a variety of structures in progress and in final form, to ensure compliance with codes. Failed inspections require this role to issue correction notices and stop-work orders, as well as explanations of correction notices and building codes to various officials, agencies and the public. This work also involves responding to complaints regarding potential building code violations.
SCHEDULE:
This position typically operates on a traditional 5-day workweek (Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm) in the field and in office.
COMPENSATION:
Hiring Range: $38.00 – $40.00 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.
