What is a Building & Grounds Mechanic - Electrician?
A member of the Facilities department and IBEW local 320, the Building & Grounds Mechanic is responsible for contributing to the installation, maintenance and repair of the building systems, infrastructure, structures, and grounds of any Central Hudson property.
What does a Buildings & Grounds Mechanic - Electrician do?
Under general supervision, performs high-class work in one or more of the following crafts: Plumber/Pipe Fitter, HVAC Technician, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, or Mason.
What does it take to be a Building & Grounds Mechanic - Electrician?
Required
High School Diploma or an Equivalency Diploma and 3+ years of experience in commercial/ industrial electrical work
Skilled in low voltage electrical work, including data, communication, and control wiring. Familiar with wiring for building automation systems (BAS) for HVAC, and lighting controls
Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans, wiring diagrams, schematics etc.
Evidence of physical fitness shall be required and at the Company's option must be demonstrated by medical examination by a doctor selected by the Company
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Preferred
5+ years of experience in commercial/ electrical work
EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment

Pay Rate: $48.45 to $50.76/hour
