Major Duties:
Qualifications: To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. GS-12: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at this level. OR Experience: GS-11 and GS-12: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: GS-11: Experience in analyzing and evaluating program plans and funding. Experience in providing training and/or technical assistance on budget reprogramming actions, policies, principles and procedures. Experience in compiling, developing and analyzing various fiscal reports and projections, and making recommendations on fiscal matters. GS-12: Experience analyzing the impact of equity formulas, populations, programs, etc., to budget requests and allotments; including periodically redistributing resources as a result of reprogramming of funds and other changes through continuing resolution, etc. Experience in analyzing and revising annual budget estimates in accordance with program and legislative changes. Experience in providing advice, guidance, training or evaluation for programs in regional field institutions. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
