Position Overview:
The Atlanta Braves are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and digitally savvy Social Media Assistant, BravesVision to support the execution of social media efforts for the club’s team-controlled television network, BravesVision.
This is a seasonal, part-time role aligned with the Major League Baseball season. The Assistant will contribute to content creation, publishing, and real-time coverage across BravesVision social media channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, live sports environment and is eager to gain hands-on experience in sports media and digital content.

BravesVision represents a new era of team-controlled media for the Atlanta Braves. The Social Media Assistant will play a key supporting role in building the network’s digital presence, engaging fans, and amplifying BravesVision programming throughout the season. This position provides valuable, hands-on experience in shaping how fans interact with BravesVision beyond the broadcast.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing the overall social media strategy for BravesVision across platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Support the planning and day-to-day publishing of BravesVision content calendars aligned with broadcast schedules and marketing priorities.
- Provide real-time coverage during Braves games, including highlights, key moments, talent clips, and tune-in messaging.
- Promote live broadcasts, pre- and post-game shows, shoulder programming, and original BravesVision series.
- Create and publish organic social content, including short-form video, graphics, and copywriting tailored to each platform.
- Collaborate with broadcast production teams to identify compelling moments for social distribution and assist in capturing digital-first content.
- Partner with the Atlanta Braves’ primary social media team to ensure brand alignment while maintaining a distinct BravesVision voice.
- Assist with community management, including monitoring fan engagement and responding to comments related to programming and broadcasts.
- Track basic performance metrics and support reporting on growth, engagement, and reach.
- Support key moments throughout the season including Opening Day, Spring Training, and potential postseason coverage.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in social media, sports, or digital content preferred.
- Strong interest in sports media, live content, and social storytelling.
- Basic experience creating short-form video and social media content.
- Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, particularly in sports.
- Basic proficiency in video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools.
- Understanding of social analytics and performance tracking.
Seasonal & Schedule Requirements
- This is a seasonal, part-time position tied to the MLB season.
- Expected to work as many of the 162 Braves games as possible, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable operating in a live production environment with evolving priorities.
- Willingness to contribute both creatively and operationally in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and digital.
