AAA Club Alliance is hiring for a Brand Strategist to join our team! This position is responsible for defining, evolving, and operationalizing AAA’s brand strategy to drive clarity, differentiation, and long-term brand health. This role shapes how the brand is positioned in the market, how it connects with key audiences, and how it shows up consistently across campaigns, channels, and experiences. The position partners closely with the Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning; Art Director; and Manager, Content to embed brand strategy into integrated campaign planning and execution.

Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a peer strategic partner to Marketing Strategy, Creative, and Content leadership, collaborating to shape integrated campaigns and ensure brand strategy is embedded from planning through execution.
Lead brand strategy development, including brand positioning, value propositions, and differentiation that clarify how AAA shows up in the market.
Conduct and synthesize market research, consumer insights, brand health data, and competitive analysis to inform brand decisions and identify growth opportunities to ensure brand strategy is actionable, scalable, and aligned to business goals.
Define and maintain audience frameworks, including buyer personas and key segments, grounded in demographic, psychographic, and behavioral insights.
Translate brand strategy into clear, actionable guidance that informs campaigns, messaging, content, and creative development.
Establish and evolve brand identity and voice frameworks, ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and emotional resonance across channels.
Guide creative, content, and social teams to ensure brand strategy is reflected consistently and effectively in execution without slowing agility.
Partner with external agencies to provide strategic direction, feedback, and guardrails aligned to brand positioning and standards.
Support campaign development by shaping brand narratives, messaging territories, and strategic briefs.
Conduct periodic brand audits to assess consistency, effectiveness, and market perception, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Identify cross-business opportunities for brand-led storytelling, bundling, and positioning that sit above individual products or services.
Utilize AI-powered tools to support research, insight synthesis, persona development, messaging exploration, and efficiency in day-to-day strategy work.
Champion responsible and effective use of AI in brand strategy workflows, ensuring outputs align with brand intent, accuracy, and ethical standards.
Contribute to brand performance discussions with marketing leadership, sharing insights that inform planning, prioritization, and investment decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
4 years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or marketing strategy within a complex, matrixed organization required.
Demonstrated experience developing brand positioning, value propositions, and audience strategies required.
Strong background in market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis required.
Experience partnering with creative, content, social, and agency teams to translate strategy into execution required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability to synthesize data and insights into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to connect brand strategy to business outcomes.
Deep understanding of audience behavior, brand perception, and emotional drivers of loyalty.
Ability to operate as a peer-level leader in cross-functional planning and execution environments.
Skilled storyteller with the ability to translate insights into compelling brand narratives.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and evolving brand environments.
Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools used in research, strategy development, and messaging.
