Your new team

This position sits in our Global Travel Retail business. Global Travel Retail is one of the Group’s largest markets, bringing Pernod Ricard brands to life in the exciting and innovative Travel Retail channel which includes duty-free, cruise ships & border shops around the globe. The Prestige team champions equity building of some of the most sought-after brands in GTR (Martell, Royal Salute, Ballantine’s Prestige, The Glenlivet, Aberlour etc…). The scope of the role is on the single malt category. It is the No.1 spirits category in retail value, growing at +9% CAGR25-28. A priority for PR GTR with strong conviction to gain shares.

As a Brand Manager, you will work across our malt brands (The Glenlivet, Aberlour, Dalmunach) to develop them and to unlock their potential in TR. You will particularly focus on Aberlour Speyside Single Malt. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for effectively understanding, adapting and implementing global brand strategies. Collaborating with the Brand Company, Global Travel Retail Business Units and internal/external partners to align on brand strategies, assets development and activation plan against business objectives. You will ultimately be responsible for how our brands are activated throughout the path to purchase. This may include above the line and below the line activations.

Your unique contribution

You will have these main areas of responsibility:

Accelerate the growth of Aberlour globally, supporting Marketing Manager in shaping long-term & short-term brand strategy.

  • As the brand champion, lead the daily communication with brand company and business units ensuring alignment of global strategy, overall planning and local implementation. 
  • With the aid of your manager, leverage interactions with stakeholders at key business updates (Summits, IBP, RAIMS etc..) to feed, influence and shape the brand plan and deliverables for GTR channel.
  • Understand travel retail consumer behaviours, trends, needs and challenges, to effectively apply the knowledge to consumer-first thinking.
  • Review and lead NPD pipeline. Drive NPD process from planning to launch managing each gate and coordinate relevant stakeholders (including brand company, logistic team, finance, business units and etc).

Drive brand visibility and engagement, with a special focus in ASIA and IMEA regions.

  • Drive development of global brand activations to support launch and global activations including global toolkit development, assets development, digital/physical consumer experience and in-store activation coordination with BU.
  • Drive the development of always-on brand assets including brand merchandising guidelines, communication assets and consumer engagement.
  • Work closely with Consumer Engagement team to develop 360 degree consumer communication and engagement plan including digital media, OOH, PR and EC & CRM collaboration in key markets
  • Lead the collaboration between key domestic market and BU to maximize synergy

Transversal projects management, and coordination of key stakeholders

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders including REX, Retail Training, Insight team, logistic team, finance, BU and etc.
  • Deliver other ad-hoc brand projects on a timely manner. Which can apply to any brand in the portfolio.
  • Effectively manage the external partners including creative agencies, POS and retail design agencies.
  • Effectively monitor and manage brand A&P budgets to ensure proper alignment with key strategic initiatives and annual finance process

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you’ll work with Brand Companies, GTR Business Units local marketing teams, Finance, other marketing functions such as insight team, traveller engagement team, retail experience and design, retail training etc

Externally, you’ll work with external creative agencies, POS, media, merchandising agencies etc

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Previous experience in drinks industry/FMCG/premium or luxury and experience in both brand and trade/customer marketing is highly preferable
  • Proven record in marketing
  • Must be able to manage multiple initiatives with strong organization and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skill and presentation compilation
  • Thorough and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and Business acumen
  • Can-do attitude and strong collaboration spirit.
  • Energetic, proactive, convivial with strong work ethics
  • Proficient English language skills both verbal and written
  • Global team experience or multi-market experience is a plus
