Avis Budget Group is looking for a Brand Manager who gets this. Someone who can balance creative instinct with commercial rigour, who’s equally at home presenting to the C-suite and briefing an agency, and who sees a brief not as a constraint but as a creative starting point.
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing — Pacific, you’ll own the Avis brand across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. You’ll be the guardian, the champion, and the driving force behind one of the world’s most recognised mobility brands.
The Role
This is not a coordinator role dressed up in a manager title. You’ll have genuine ownership of the Avis brand in the Pacific — from brand strategy and campaign delivery to agency management and performance measurement. You’ll work across B2C and B2B, blending above-the-line storytelling with always-on digital execution.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing and regional counterparts to ensure the Avis brand voice is consistent, compelling, and locally relevant. And you’ll be the connective tissue between our global brand standards and the market realities on the ground.
What You’ll Do
Brand Strategy & Identity
Own and evolve the Avis brand strategy across ANZ and Singapore, ensuring consistency with global brand guidelines while driving local relevance.
Serve as the brand guardian — reviewing all consumer-facing communications to ensure they meet brand standards and reflect the Avis voice.
Track brand health metrics and translate insights into strategic recommendations that sharpen our positioning and deepen customer connection.
Campaign Development & Execution
Lead the end-to-end development of integrated marketing campaigns — from brief through to production, launch, and post-campaign analysis.
Bring campaigns to life across channels including digital, social, OOH, CRM, and partnerships — ensuring every execution lands with impact.
Balance long-term brand building with short-term performance objectives, knowing when to prioritise fame and when to drive conversion.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
Manage day-to-day relationships with creative, media, PR, and production agencies — setting clear briefs, holding high creative standards, and delivering on time and on budget.
Partner with internal teams across Digital, CRM, Revenue, and Operations to ensure brand activity is integrated and aligned with business priorities.
Collaborate with global brand teams to influence how Pacific insights shape the broader Avis brand narrative.
Content, Channel & Communications
Oversee brand content across owned, earned, and paid channels — ensuring a consistent, differentiated voice that resonates with our audience.
Champion social-first thinking and digital storytelling — understanding how to capture attention in a crowded, fast-moving media landscape.
Drive PR and earned media opportunities that build brand credibility and extend campaign reach.
Performance & Insight
Define and track brand KPIs, providing regular reporting and clear recommendations to the Head of Marketing and broader leadership team.
Use customer research, market data, and campaign analytics to continuously refine our approach and uncover new growth opportunities.
Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and cultural moments that create opportunities for the Avis brand.
Who You Are
You’ve spent 5+ years in brand marketing — ideally with a mix of agency and in-house experience that’s given you a broad perspective and a sharp creative eye. You know what good looks like, and you’re not afraid to push for it.
You think in campaigns but execute in detail. You can hold a creative vision through the messiness of production without losing what made the idea great in the first place. You’re a natural collaborator, but you also know how to move things forward when alignment is hard to find.
Data doesn’t intimidate you — you use it to make stronger arguments, sharper briefs, and better decisions. You can present confidently to senior leaders, but you also love getting into the weeds with a creative team or an agency partner.
You bring genuine curiosity about culture, media, and consumer behaviour. And you care deeply about the craft of brand building — not just the output, but the thinking behind it.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ brand marketing experience, ideally spanning both agency and in-house environments.
A track record of delivering integrated campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels that drive both brand and business outcomes.
Strong agency management skills, including briefing, production oversight, and holding high creative standards under commercial pressures.
Comfort with brand strategy, including brand architecture, positioning, tone of voice, and brand health measurement.
Analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence operating at senior level.
Experience in travel, mobility, or consumer-facing industries is a plus — but a genuine passion for brands and storytelling matters more.
