Brand, Content and Communications Manager

Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

Content Development & Marketing

  • Develop a holistic, omnichannel content strategy with CMOCX, calendarized and executed through high-quality, visually appealing formats for various channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Health Hub Blog.

  • Collaborate with designers to produce compelling graphics, images, and videos that strengthen brand recognition and recollection of the Cigna Healthcare brand.

  • Monitor news and industry trends to identify relevant content angles that can be used to further embellish the content calendar.

Social Media Management and Marketing

  • Create and manage the Social Media Content Calendar in collaboration with PR/Media agencies and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop value-proposition driven and member educational content that can be shared on our social channels to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

  • Support social community management by responding promptly and empathetically to comments and messages, including escalating responses requiring cautious handling as part of crisis communications management.

  • Build a supportive follower ecosystem on our social channels through various tactics aimed at encouraging community participation.

PR & Media Management

  • Assist in planning and executing PR/Media initiatives to position Cigna Healthcare as a thought leader in the healthcare sector.

  • Partner with the appointed PR agency to develop and execute a holistic media calendar aimed at elevating the presence of Cigna, the senior leadership team and its media spokespeople comprising of appointed subject matter experts in their respective identified domains.

  • Support media monitoring and crisis communications monitoring and execution of appropriate responses and actions.

Internal & External Comms

  • Develop and execute a results-driven multi-platform communication strategy plan aligned with corporate and brand direction while reflecting local priorities. This includes program/product/ thought leadership specific initiatives needed to be shared with our employees, brokers, clients and members, partnering the Sales Enablement and Customer Engagement Manager for key content and proof points.

  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders and create high value, impactful newsletters, presentations, and other PR-related materials.

Brand Management, including Awards & Recognition

  • Work with the CMOCX and collaborate with the PR agency and our global brand teams in developing a localized brand messaging framework to position Cigna Healthcare as the Best-In-Class Healthcare Insurance Provider.

  • Act as brand guardian to ensure all materials align with Cigna standards.

  • Work with the CMOCX to curate and review suitable industry awards, managing the applications, submissions, and presentations aligned with brand purpose.

Vendor Management

  • Oversee communications spend and manage vendors/agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and supporting assets that meet the Cigna brand standards and optimize budgets.

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English to craft clear, persuasive, and brand-aligned content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent messaging for diverse audiences.

  • Passion for content creation and leveraging research to derive insights.

  • Creative mindset with strong critical thinking skills, ability to think outside the box, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Strong project management skills with a sense of urgency, a collaborative approach and proven ability to work as a team player.
