The Department

CAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. These integrated capabilities come together to offer solutions from planning through execution, and we pull in a collective perspective of expertise with each client brief to ensure we are tapping into diverse thinking and building strategies reflective of the marketplace and culture we work within.

The Role

The Senior Account Executive will play a key role in one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a financial services company. The Senior Account Executive will work in lock-step with our internal team and client counterparts to support managing select key sports and entertainment partnerships for the client’s portfolio. The role includes day-to-day partnership management and activating at live events to deliver results-driven campaigns on behalf of the client.

This position will require an extreme level of attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and a passion for sports and entertainment. This role will require on-site event support (primarily, but not limited to, LA) and planning coordination/logistics as needed, along with the ability to effectively manage clients, partners, and vendors leading up to, during, and post events.  customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of key partnerships, serving as the primary point of contact.

  • General research as required on: talent, industry trends, competitors, properties, brands, and territories.

  • Ability to own projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.

  • Develop high-quality presentations to support client meetings and client-facing deliverables.

  • Mentor junior team members and play a supporting role in their growth, learning, and overall development.

  • Oversee account finances, including budgets, expenses, invoices, booking reports, check requests, retainer fees, and revenue trackers.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee and support the development of various projects, including competitive reports.

  • Experience with long-term strategic partnership planning and an ability to think outside the box to expand client reach in the sports and entertainment landscape.

  • Ability to lead client calls and present in meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Oversee on-site event experiences and manage applicable vendor relationships.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with key internal CAA Brand Consulting functions as well as across the agency.

  • Create a strong rapport and relationship with key clients, becoming a trusted resource and advisor.

  • Contribute to team morale and culture with a passion for work and executional excellence.
     

Requirements

  • BA or BS strongly preferred.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing and brand partnerships.

  • On-site event work and management of high-profile partnerships with professional sports teams, leagues (e.g., NFL, NBA), and live music properties strongly preferred. Experience with music festivals is a plus.

  • Ability to travel and be on site at events (mainly on weekends during the fall/winter).

  • Ability to learn the client industry and CAA responsibilities.

  • Ability to quickly learn CAA operational processes, such as finance, legal, and operational procedures.

  • Strong understanding and “pulse” on current events, pop-culture trends, and happenings – especially in the sports, arts, entertainment, and culinary fields.

  • Technologically savvy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Keynote, Photoshop, Google Slides/Sheets/Docs, Slack). Social media/digitally versed.

  • Extremely detail-oriented.

  • Curious and creative.

  • Ability to balance and progress multiple projects and project components at one time, on tight timelines.

Location

The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires three days per week on-site at our Los Angeles office.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $75,000 - $90,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
