The Role
The Business Operations Associate supports the Finance & Operations team by partnering closely with management and account/function leads to ensure departmental processes run efficiently and accurately. This role requires a strong interest in business operations, finance/accounting, and sports and entertainment marketing, along with the ability to support cross-functional teams and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
Responsibilities
Attend account/function team meetings to gain a deep understanding of the business and determine how to best provide financial support.
Collaborate cross-departmentally across all agency verticals while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Provide training and development support to assigned teams on finance processes, systems, and policies.
Track revenue, budgets, and expenses for assigned teams as needed.
Review finance-related submissions for accuracy and completeness before advancing for approval.
Maintain and regularly update finance and process-related documentation for assigned accounts/functions.
Manage monthly Aging Report follow-ups for assigned accounts/functions.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and support the development and implementation of processes that enhance efficiency and productivity.
Support financial planning, forecasting, and projections for assigned teams as needed.
Ensure inter-company client records are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with corporate requirements.
Serve as a liaison between corporate Accounting & Finance and client Account teams to ensure alignment and seamless communication.
Qualifications
BA/BS from an accredited college or university required.
2+ years’ experience in finance, operations, project management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of — and interest in — project management, finance, business operations, policies, and process improvement.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; these skills are critical to success in this role.
Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities, and capable of meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments and within a demanding environment.
Creative and analytical thinker with curiosity about technology, digital solutions, and industry trends.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $67,000 to $77,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
