Brand and Product Marketing Intern - Summer 2026

New York, NY (Hybrid) Full Time

For over two decades, BrainPOP has been trusted by educators and parents worldwide as a source of engaging and impactful learning experiences for all kids. With a presence in over two-thirds of U.S. districts through school and district subscriptions and an estimated annual reach of 25 million students, BrainPOP is empowering kids to take agency over their learning and excel in and out of the classroom.

We are thrilled to continue making learning fun and accessible with the strategic guidance and support of KIRKBI.

About The Role

BrainPOP’s Brand and Product Marketing team works across the organization to tell the story of BrainPOP’s mission and products—who we are, why we matter, and how we help teachers and learners succeed.

Our team sits at the intersection of several groups, including Demand & Growth Marketing, Product, Sales Enablement, and Community. We collaborate closely with product managers to understand new features and updates, and then translate those ideas into clear messages, campaigns, and resources that help people understand and get excited about BrainPOP.

Brand and Product Marketing also work with teams that communicate directly with educators—such as social media, site, email, events, and partnerships—to make sure our messaging is consistent and easy to understand across all channels.

In this internship, you’ll learn how BrainPOP shares stories about teaching and learning through social media, educator voices, and digital content. You’ll collaborate with the Brand and Product Marketing team to help organize storytelling assets, support content creation, and contribute ideas for reaching educators in meaningful ways. You’ll also gain exposure to how marketing teams partner across departments to bring campaigns and product launches to life.

In This Role, You Will

  • Social Media & Content Publishing Support: Help support BrainPOP’s organic social media channels by learning how we schedule, tag, and optimize content behind the scenes. Assist with storytelling initiatives on social media, contribute ideas for social-first content, and help monitor how similar organizations and competitors are using content to engage their audiences.
  • Teacher Storytelling & Content Library Development: Help organize and curate educator stories by reviewing video interviews and other content to identify key moments, quotes, and testimonials. Assist in building and maintaining a searchable library of teacher stories, including tagging content, organizing raw footage, and applying consistent file naming and metadata practices.
  • Community & Event Content Support: Support storytelling from BrainPOP community events and educator programs by identifying meaningful moments, quotes, and highlights from virtual sessions and events. Assist in organizing recorded event content so it can be repurposed into shorter clips, resources, or stories for educators.
  • Marketing Campaign & Cross-Team Collaboration: Sit in on campaign planning sessions, brainstorming meetings, and creative reviews to learn how marketing initiatives come together. You’ll have the opportunity to share your perspective, learn how teams collaborate across departments, and support projects along the way. You’ll also get hands-on experience with the tools we use to publish content on our blog and website, helping format and upload stories while learning the basics of digital publishing and SEO.

On Your Resume

  • A rising junior or senior (preferred) studying Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, Education, or a related field preferred; a strong interest in storytelling, digital media, and education.
  • A clear communicator who is organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, or similar platforms. Basic proficiency might include creating documents, organizing spreadsheets, filtering data, and collaborating with others in shared files.
  • Curious about how brands connect with audiences through social media, storytelling, and digital content—and excited to learn how marketing teams collaborate to bring those ideas to life.
