About the role - Mō te tūranga

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll support branch operations, coordinate staff, and ensure our customers receive excellent service.

Reporting to the Area Manager, your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies.
  • Supervise, motivate, and guide your team to achieve daily goals.
  • Assist with rostering, resource planning, and operational tasks.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and champion health & safety standards.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor key metrics such as utilisation, claims, DIFOT, and customer service.
  • Provide accurate reporting and support the Area Manager with branch performance.

You’re a hands-on team player who enjoys supporting others and keeping things running smoothly. You’re organised, approachable, and ready to step up when needed.

Additionally, you will bring:

  • Experience in transport, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
  • Confidence with basic reporting and IT systems.
  • NCEA Level 2 & 3, and ideally a tertiary qualification in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain.
  • Full NZ driver’s licence.
