Purpose of Role: As our Branch Manager  you’ll play a key role in shaping Weir ESCO’s future in Zambia. You’ll be accountable for regional growth, using your technical foundation, commercial insight and leadership capability to build strong customer relationships and develop a high‑performing team positioned for long‑term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing & Growing the Business: You’ll play a critical role in establishing and scaling Weir’s presence in Zambia. From branch start up through to maturity, you’ll put the right foundations in place, embedding robust structures, processes and ways of working that enable safe, compliant and sustainable growth across the region. This is a hands on leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys building from the ground up and translating strategy into action.
  • Driving Sales & Market Growth in Mining: With mining central to Zambia’s economy, this role has a strong commercial focus. You’ll set and deliver the territory sales strategy, lead business development activity, and guide the team to achieve ambitious but achievable growth targets. Working closely with customers and stakeholders, you’ll secure new opportunities, lead tender activity, and expand Weir’s footprint across mine sites , balancing long term planning with on the ground execution.
  • Leading & Developing High Performing Teams: Performance starts with people. You’ll lead, coach and develop a growing sales and technical team, ensuring the right capability is in place to support both current demand and future growth. By positioning resources effectively and investing in development, you’ll build an engaged, high performing team aligned to Weir’s values, purpose and ways of working.
  • Customer, Commercial & Sustainable Performance: You’ll hold overall accountability for customer relationships, commercial outcomes and financial performance across the territory. This includes contract negotiation, budgeting, forecasting and setting clear, meaningful KPIs. Just as importantly, you’ll champion sustainable performance, strengthening tender effectiveness, improving ways of working, and ensuring growth is delivered responsibly, safely and in line with Weir’s long term strategy
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior sales leadership role within the mining industry, with clear accountability for territory growth and commercial performance.
  • Proven track record of progressive achievement in mining, demonstrating sustained revenue growth, successful market expansion, and delivery against ambitious targets.
  • Strong commercial and people leadership capability, combining technical credibility, key account management expertise and the ability to lead, develop and motivate high‑performing sales and technical teams.
  • Degree‑qualified in Engineering, with a business qualification preferred; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate study would be highly regarded.
