Brief on Role:

  • This is a single‑person branch role and an individual contributor position. We are seeking a dynamic and execution‑focused professional who will be responsible for:

  • Driving mutual fund sales and increasing market share through strategic engagement with distributors, including Independent Mutual Fund Distributors (IMFDs), Retail Distributors, Banks, and Private Wealth partners.

  • Owning complete business development and market coverage for the assigned branch geography.

  • Ensuring strong on‑ground execution while adhering to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Branch Manager – Retail Sales?

  • Drive sales growth and market share across assigned distributor channels in the branch geography.

  • Achieve defined Gross Sales, Net Sales, SIP, and AUM targets for the branch.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IMFDs, distributors, bank RMs, and private wealth partners.

  • Identify, onboard, and activate new distributors / IFAs as per company guidelines.

  • Increase wallet share from existing distributor relationships through consistent engagement.

  • Plan and execute distributor meetings, joint calls, and local market activation initiatives.

  • Enhance Franklin Templeton’s visibility and brand recall within the assigned territory.

  • Act as the single point of contact for all sales‑related matters in the branch.

  • Participate in various distribution initiatives undertaken by the firm.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align sales execution with organizational goals.

  • Monitor local market developments and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.

  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Marketing, or Management.

  • Mandatory Certifications:

  • NISM Series VA – Mutual Fund Distributors (valid)

  • NISM Series XIII – Common Derivatives (valid)

  • 6–10 years of experience in mutual fund / asset management / financial services sales.

  • Strong exposure to IMFD and retail ND/NBND distribution.

  • Prior experience in independent territory or single‑RM roles preferred.

  • Strong understanding of mutual fund products and financial markets.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑management skills.

  • Self‑motivated, execution‑driven, and results‑oriented.

  • Ability to manage territory independently with high ownership and discipline.

  • Extensive travel within the assigned branch geography

  • Responsible for sales generation, which will ultimately contribute to revenue for the organization.

Work Shift Timings - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM IST
