About the role

We are looking for a Branch Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.
 

As the Branch Manager of our St Arnaud branch, you’ll lead a well‑established key rural location that provides services across Merchandise, Agronomy, Fertiliser, Livestock, Wool, Real Estate, Insurance and Finance. In this important role, you’ll drive business growth, lead a high‑performing team, and make a meaningful impact across the local agricultural community.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll take the lead in building strong relationships with local producers while driving sales across agricultural products and merchandise. You’ll mentor, support, and develop your team to deliver professional, efficient, and high‑quality service - both in‑store and out in the field.

This important role is fundamental to our part in supporting our clients and community in this productive mixed farming zones.   The St Arnaud Branch works closely with producers, helping them manage their winter cropping, grazing and hay production systems backed by an experienced agronomy team. The branch has an experienced livestock team who support clients with all aspects of sheep, cattle and wool production. 


Responsibilities

  • Inspiring and motivating your team to maximise their potential
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to provide personalised recommendations to strengthen the growth of their businesses
  • Cultivating new sales opportunities to strengthen Elders presence 
  • Driving the marketing and promotion of all Elders products
  • Prioritising the safety of your staff and clients, and actively contributing to Elders’ zero-harm culture 
  • Coaching and mentoring staff in identifying and developing new sales opportunities

About you

  • Have a proven track record in sales management with an understanding of agricultural services
  • Have a strong knowledge on livestock and agency operations.
  • Are comfortable and thrive in a collaborative and agile working environment 
  • Are resourceful, forward thinking and passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community
  • Understand that people are our most important asset
  • Have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with clients
  • Although a tertiary qualification is not essential, sound financial knowledge and strong business acumen is required
  • This role could be suited for an existing Branch Manager, Merchandise Sales Manager, Livestock Agent or Agronomist.
