Job Description Summary

Lead Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) activities within a country. Provide strategic and insightful value-added analysis and decision support to the business leadership. Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of recurring or ad-hoc financial information, and pro-active cross-functional liaison with the Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) and commercial teams


 

Job Description

Major Accountabilities

  • Develop strong understanding of the market dynamics and Novartis products to drive performance.

  • Support leadership team in driving performance with financial analysis, drive external competitive analysis and internal insights (e.g. sales and cost trends, early warning systems, Risks and Opportunities make recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities, etc).

  • Demonstrate leadership and influencing skills dealing with senior management / Cluster / Region / leading business review preparations and additional initiatives/ad-hoc projects as needed.

  • Pro-actively conduct value added analysis – Benchmarking, Resource Allocation, Profitability analysis, NPV assessment to drive margin improvement and identify investment areas.

  • Ensure high quality of financial reporting and forecast accuracy on monthly and quarterly estimates of various financial KPIs (sales, costs, cash flow, etc.).

  • Lead 1FP, forecasting and resource allocation process, responsible for consolidation of detailed operationalization.

  • Coordinate all the activities to ensure proper month/quarter/year end closing, prepare actual performance analysis for month end closing.

Ideal Background

 

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Admin/Management/Economic or related field

  • MBA or higher degree related to business/management (preferable)

 

Languages

  • Local language

  • Fluent in English

Experiences

  • Substantial experience in Business Case Management Financial Management preferably in Pharmaceutical industry (Min. 5-7 years)

  • Proven ability to identify strategy critical issues to drive organization to achieve objectives and understand internal and external factors contributing to the organization’s dynamics

  • Operations Management and Execution

  • Experience in Functional Breadth
