Position: Box Office Manager

Summary:
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Box Office Manager at the Peoria Civic Center. The Box Office Manager directs ticket sales and all other activities for the Peoria Civic Center box office. Starting salary is $55,000-$60,000 and up per year, depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, group insurance, 401k.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee internal control of daily operations according to company policy.
- Coordinate all event information between the promoter, Ticketmaster, and internal staff in a timely manner, and respond quickly and accurately to questions.
- Cooperate with event promoters and appropriate personnel to establish ticket pricing and seating configuration.
- Build and modify all ticketed event seating maps.
- Coordinate with event promoters to establish the house scale for all ticket events.
- Maintain Ticketmaster system in compliance with agreements.
- Establish files for all events consisting of seats on-hold for the building and promoter, complimentary ticket vouchers, event audits and ticket inventory schedules.
- Monitor daily ticket sales for all upcoming events and communicate relevant data to Legends Global management and promoter representative.
- Maintain accurate record of daily balance of cash received, tickets sold and change bank/vault.
- Produce box office sales reports, account for ticket sales for each event, and provide accounting with reconciled daily activity reports.
- Prepares and presents the final box office statement for settlement of each event.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, respond promptly to customer needs and to requests for service and assistance, able to work both independently and as a team member, and handle most office box questions without assistance.
- Assist in sales of tickets as needed.
- Attend weekly facility staff meetings and develop/maintain effective working relationships with other facility departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage subordinate supervisors who directly supervise box office staff and ticket sellers.
- Interview and select candidates, train employees; plan, assign and direct work; create box office staff work schedules; appraise performance; deliver corrective action for underperforming staff; address complaints and resolve problems.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Accounting, customer service, and supervisory experience required.
- Experience working with Ticketmaster and supervising Ticketmaster sales required.
- Familiarity with the AXS ticketing platform preferred.
- Experience with CAD a plus.
Skill and Abilities:
- Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Professional communication skills, written and verbal, with English fluency.
- Highly organized work habits.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protection of proprietary data and methods.
- Ability to pass a criminal and financial background check according to company standards.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint,Outlook.
- Experience with Ticketmaster system operation and equipment maintenance.
Other Qualifications:
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays as needed, according to the event schedule.
