About Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Join the team at this vibrant, retro hotel inspired by iconic Florida beach resorts of the 1950s and 60s.
Responsible for; providing prompt, efficient courteous, professional food and beverage service; pre-meal set up and post meal clean up; ensuring that all guests needs are met and that their expectations are exceeded.
Job Specific (90%):
Maintains current knowledge of all menu offerings, to include ingredients, preparation method, time required, presentation and appearance
Sets up assigned station in accordance to Loews Standards
Greets guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standards
Provide upsell opportunities to guests to enhance the dining experience and increase overall check average
Records all aspects of guests order accurately and enters guest orders into POS
Coordinates placement of order so that the timing of preparation and delivery flows consistently throughout entire meal
Monitors preparation of individual courses to ensure proper flow
Inspects presentation of all food items to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the guest as ordered
Serves all food and beverage items professionally, according to Loews Standards
Monitors guests at all times, anticipates needs, responds to requests, ensures satisfaction
Prepares and presents accurate, complete guest check
Collects monies due and/or applies charges to guest account using POS terminal
Completes end of shift revenue report and cash deposit
Performs all side work duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Attends all department meetings as scheduled

Qualifications
Food and Beverage experience required
Strong understanding of menu offerings, service etiquette, and guest engagement.
Excellent guest service skills.
Basic proficiency with POS systems for order entry and processing.
Proven experience working in high-volume Food and Beverage operations preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent guest service skills.
Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
