Job Summary: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA-Lackland Skylark Bowling Center. This is a Flexible position with 00 guaranteed hours per week, but may work up to 40 hours per week. Physical Effort: Frequently lifts and carries parts and assembles weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally may push or pull assemblies weighing up to 100 pounds.

Major Duties:

  • Performs technical minor maintenance which requires prescribed sequential technical techniques such as adjusting and replacing bearings, belts, shock absorbers, deck cables, rake arms, ball lift rods, pit conveyors, and other mechanical parts on the automatic pinsetters. Make timing adjustments on the pinsetter detector, rake sweep hook, out of range, standing pins, and strike mechanisms. Performs maintenance on other bowling center equipment such as removing, cleaning and replacing parts on ball cleaner, ball drilling machine, Telescore equipment, vacuum cleaners, and like items. Insures all tools, supplies, and repair parts are kept in their proper place. Cleans and maintains proper conditions of lanes, approaches, channels, pindecks, masking units, ball returns, and scoring tables. Maintains inventory records of all operating supplies and equipment repair parts used during tour of duty and reports items to higher graded maintenance personnel. Replaces burnt out fuses and bulbs within the center's capabilities Physical effort: stands, walks, bends, and lifts light and medium weight objects. Working Conditions: Works indoors in area adequately heated and lighted. Exposed to dust, dirt, grease, chemical solvents, and possibility of cuts, bruises, abrasions, and electrical shock.
